چکیده

Abstract Brain metastases are frequently seen in neurosurgical practice. Standardised criteria created to better classify these common pathologies research studies. This study’s goal was evaluate RANO-BM (Response Assessment Neuro-Oncology - Metastases) criteria’s current thresholds a cohort of patients with brain managed by stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS). We performed retrospective metastasis-level analysis treated SRS for metastases. The data collected included demographics, characteristics, outcomes, and the rate true positives, false negatives, negatives positives as defined at last follow-up before second SRS. 251 50 were analysis. using yielded sensitivity 38%, specificity 95%, positive predictive value 71% negative 84%. Modified absolute diameter differences 2.5 mm 83%, 87%, 67% 94%. Pseudoprogression occurred significantly earlier than tumor progression, median time onset 6.9 months 12.1 respectively. Current unreliably identifies clinically relevant but useful assessing increases caused progression pseudoprogression.

Response assessment in recurrent glioblastoma treated with irinotecan-bevacizumab: comparative analysis of the Macdonald, RECIST, RANO, and RECIST + F criteria.

Traditionally, the most widely used criteria for response assessment in glioblastoma have been Macdonald and the Response Evaluation Criteria In Solid Tumors (RECIST). Recently, new criteria addressing contrast enhancement and fluid-attenuated inversion recovery (FLAIR)/T2 hyperintensity have been defined (the Response Assessment in Neuro-Oncology criteria) to better evaluate the effect of anti...

The Impact of T2/FLAIR Evaluation per RANO Criteria on Response Assessment of Recurrent Glioblastoma Patients Treated with Bevacizumab.

PURPOSE The RANO criteria have not been assessed using outcome data from prospective trials. We examined the radiologic data of patients with recurrent glioblastoma from the randomized phase II trial (AVF3708g) to determine the effect of including T2/FLAIR evaluation as per RANO criteria on measurements of objective response rates (ORRs) and progression-free survival (PFS) compared with assessm...

Response assessment criteria for brain metastases: proposal from the RANO group.

CNS metastases are the most common cause of malignant brain tumours in adults. Historically, patients with brain metastases have been excluded from most clinical trials, but their inclusion is now becoming more common. The medical literature is difficult to interpret because of substantial variation in the response and progression criteria used across clinical trials. The Response Assessment in...

Background: Gastric lavage (GL) is one of the most commonly used decontamination method for cholinergic insecticide ingestion in developing countries despite lack of supporting evidence. This study was designed to evaluate the outcome of patients with cholinergic insecticide poisoning treated with GL in regards to timing and frequency of the procedure. Methods: In this prospective observational...
